During the process of creating an isometric pixel art, I figured I'd make a texture for the Texture Stamp in photoshop that creates a nice Isometric Grid to work off. I've found it very useful, so I thought I'd be nice and upload it here for others to use.
To install it in Photoshop, open up the .psd file, select the whole thing and choose "Edit>Define Pattern" and follow the instructions.

Nice texture... and useful I imagine... for peeps who create pixel art in PS. Grats on the DD (eventhough its almost a year ago)! It would be a nice addition to Photoshop... the ability to overlay the exsisting vertical/horizontal grid with a diagonal one of which the user could set the angles. And/or similar with guides that can be user tilted to any angle.
so you stand by this claim--that it's MUCH easier to do pixel art with this grid texture? if so then THANK YOU!!!! i gave up on pixel art after coming up with constant failures and frustrations. what do you use to animate though--virtual dub? unfreez? iaza? flash?
